• About the Project – We started by assessing the full extent of the damage and working directly with Denny’s insurance provider to make sure the claim process moved forward quickly and without stress. Our goal was to deliver not just a replacement deck, but a safer, smarter, longer-lasting upgrade.
• Materials & Scope of Work– The new build featured a Fortress Steel Framing system—an industry-leading option with a 25-year warranty that ensures structural strength well beyond traditional wood. On top of that, we installed Trex Select decking, known for its resistance to fading, staining, and weather damage. The railings were crafted from Vista Aluminum, finished off with a Trex Select drink rail integrated into the top for added comfort and function. This deck isn’t just built to look good now—it’s designed to perform for decades with minimal upkeep. The composite boards and aluminum railings carry warranties of up to 35 years, making them ideal for homeowners who want long-term peace of mind
• Design Decisions Built Around Durability – Denny didn’t want to repeat history by using materials that would require constant maintenance. That’s why, rather than going with pressure-treated wood—which often warps, cracks, or splinters over time—he made the smart choice to invest in a steel substructure. Not only does this reduce long-term costs, but it allows the deck to remain visually appealing and safe from both above and below.
  We also used hidden fasteners and matched color tones to achieve a seamless finish. These small touches make a big difference in day-to-day enjoyment, especially for barefoot use or for families with children or pets.
